Chad is a great human being we all love chad

I want to take a poll: You like nice Chad or mean Chad?

I noticed something in all the comic strips Chad lives with his gram but in Big Nate goes for broke we see his mom

It’s nice that Big Nate cares enough about Chad that he is concerned with how his grandmother treats him. Usually, it’s just about Nate.

Well obviously you’re nice Chad (well besides the science partner mess)

You know, have you guys ever thought that maybe Mr. Pierce is enjoying using Chad as a character? Maybe you guys shouldn’t hate on him so much. Personally I think Chad is a great and funny character, and I respect what characters the cartoonist wants to put in the strip more often. Did you ever think that he’s starting to get bored of Francis and Teddy? (Not that they are bad characters, I think each character adds something to the strip, and I don’t think any of them are bad.)

Here’s my opinion of Chad:

Some of his arcs are pretty funny and good, like the time he went on a diet camp (my memory sucks but something like that) then after all the effort of him getting thin he eats one cupcake and becomes fat again. The occasional Chad arc is always welcome but now I see him more as an overused, one dimensional character that only pops in and out of existence whenever someone says anything related to food.

There were arcs of Chad detailing how is grandma always belittles and underestimate him, but nothing much is done to spice things up. Maybe have Nate meet Chad’s grandma and find out that Chad’s grandma is a jerk. Or something else that’s just as interesting…

Here’s to hoping this arc would make Chad have more going for him and more complex to make him actually interesting and frequently reusable in future arcs like Teddy and Francis instead of just him suddenly materializing in the strip when someone says anything about food.

Just curious, what about Chad do people not like?

I think a good arc for the regular strips would be one where Nate starts off in a regular day, but then he starts having one of the worst days ever, but in the end, it’s just a dream.

(I will post this tomorrow for more people to see.) I saw VikkyKiwi’s comment saying “there is so much hate on Chad.” In the same logic you should not give hate (unless it’s helpful) to ComicRater, you gave him a lot of hate, this is a website that you should be able to express your opinion without some salty people hating against you. If you don’t like his opinion, then say it like “I disagree with your opinion, I like Chad.” Don’t say “you’re so ignorant.” It’s honestly rather true that Chad appears way too much, don’t you think? What about Mr. Rosa, Ms. Godfrey, Francis, Teddy and all that? Lincoln says he would’ve ended the comic strip years ago if he weren’t bother with criticism, and because of ComicRater’s comment, he hasn’t ended, chill out. If you want people to respect your opinion of Chad, respect people who may disagree with it, it’s honestly disgusting how you treated ComicRater from an actual human being to a cartoon character.
