Cadet Bonespurs is NOT nuts. He is an exceedingly arrogant know nothing who is using the White House to siphon money into his private accounts. He might share some of it with his children.
Uh, that was the House of Saud, not the Taliban. Remember Osama bin Laden? The Taliban offered to turn him over to a third party but Bush wanted his war and turned them down.
Negotiate with the Taliban anywhere for that matter is nuts. The Taliban will agree to anything Trump asks for to get the Americans out of Afghanistan, and then they’ll continue their old ways unimpeded. Negotiate with the Taliban – what a Fool’s mission!!
Well, why not? It worked so well with Kim Jong Un, as “the Chosen One” has said North Korea is “no longer a threat.” It worked so well with China, as the “Chosen One” has said trade wars are “good” and “easy to win.” It worked so well when the government was shut down for 34 days, longest on record, as the “Chosen One” got everything he wanted to reopen the Government, right? /s
Negotiating with the Taliban might prevent more deaths on both sides. Eventually, you have to put stop fighting and come to some sort of agreement with anyone you are fighting. Otherwise, we would still be fighting Japan and England. And, negotiating a truce in no way prevents the resumption of fighting if the truce is broken and can lead to simmering down the situation and allowing people in the combat zone to get back to leading normal lives and losing interest in killing each other.
Yes Lisa, he is nuts and thanks to Fox (hate&fake) News and cartoonists like you he’s gotten as far as has. You and his supporters have and are doing massive damage to our country and the world. Maybe it’s time for you and your like to wake up and join the rest of us in ridding our country of this scourge!
I have no problem with meeting with enemies in an effort to find peace.
However, I want all parties to go in with a clear understanding that the peace we find with some of our enemies must be enforced with the threat of superior firepower and the willingness to use it.
The meeting was scheduled because the our envoy indicated that there was substantial progress between the Afghan government and the Taliban, and that a bit of prodding/encouragement by Trump might be the key to getting an agreement.
