Remember it was Saudis, not Afghans or Iraqis who did it.

    Airplanes, murder and plot.

I see no reason why twin towers

    Should ever be forgot…

Has the subsequent cost been worth it.. has revenge solved anything? Yes, sadly .. 3000 (and more continue to suffer ) died.. but revenge took the lives of many many more.. And they too were innocent civilians trying to live their own lives and a good many even unaware of a country called the United States of America.

You can not.. ever change a culture with bombs and 18 years later all your revenge has gotten you is deeper debt and more animosity.

Not just did Saudis fly the airplanes, their rotten Wasabi interpretation of Islam provoked them. Wasabism is the central most disruptive and deadly force throughout the Middle East and Islam. It is the state religion of Saudia Arabia and they are determined to foist it on the rest of Islam. Iran resists it, hence the tension between Sunnies and Shiites.

Let’s forget who was to blame, just for today, to remember and mourn the loss of life and liberty. I picture, almost like a decaying movie reel, that whole day. Where were YOU when you found out what was happening? Let’s share!

By all means, let us remember by forgetting any context or consequences. Al-Qaeda couldn’t defeat us. Only we could defeat ourselves.

While it is true that the majority of terrorists on those planes that September morning were Saudi Nationals and that the leader at the time was also a Saudi National, it was the Taliban in Afghanistan that gave Al-Qaeda a safe haven and permission to train its troops for war against the West.

It should also be noted that all the evidence points to Trump engineering the Taliban – Afghan meeting at Camp David for the sole purpose of “qualifying” him for consideration of a Nobel Peace Prize – just like the one awarded Barack Obama.

It was evident from the first that Trump had absolutely no negotiating skills and the whole “Camp David” thing was going to be nothing more than a gigantic “Photo-Op”!

The Taliban KNOWS that Trump is going to pull troops out of Afghanistan by 2020 regardless of any agreement or lack, thereof. They KNOW that they control over half the country, and they KNOW that all they have to do is out wait Trump because they KNOW that calling Trump’s bargaining position “weak” is like calling Mount Everest a big hill!

There is always the possibility that Trump’s plan is to cause the Taliban leadership to die laughing over the stupidity of Trump’s position, but I fear that’s a rather forlorn hope, at best!

I wonder how many reputrid congressmen are grandstanding today’s anniversary who did not vote to extend health care to NYcity first responders?

We should keep in mind that the same policies towards the Arab and Muslim nations that created the atmosphere which spawned the 9/11 attackers are still being practiced by the United States in the region today. As wrong and evil as those acts were to us, in the minds of those we’ve shown little respect, it’s more like an eye for an eye than a horrendous evil. The bottom line is if we continue to use this tragedy as a rallying cry against them while refusing to acknowledge the wrongs they feel we’ve done against them, we doom ourselves to see it repeated until either we do or one side is wiped off the planet.
