This is a theme in many of Graham Nolan’s comics. I have to ask, though, why should Monday even matter to an alligator?
For the same reason alligators speak English.

Mondays have that habit of sneaking up on one…at least Mel didn’t dream about a beholder (iconic D&D monster).
Didn’t know Monday was a Werewolf, who would have thought…
