The great thing about being retired is that I don’t have to go out if the weather is bad.

If the weather is that unpredictable, the best thing to do is to stay inside.

So in other words, the forecasters have absolutely no idea what the weather will be; they just won’t directly admit it.

Sounds like New England weather! To paraphrase Mark Twain: if you don’t like it, wait a little while and it’ll get worse…

Contemporary weather reporters are usually more accurate than in earlier times, but their misses generally cause problems for only a few people. Politicians, on the other hand, don’t concern themselves with accuracy, they cause great damage to masses of people, but show little or no regret. Wonder which ones are earning their pay?

How many layers can you bring in anticipation of inclement weather, before they weigh you down and interfere with your enjoyment of the nice weather?

My weather is where I am. And when. Your weather the same, but for you. Around here at least, storm cells are often only a mile or less in “diameter” and they move along more or less, kinda wiggly parallel to each other. So the prognosticators have to say all those things, but you’re not too likely to see all of them yourself.

My Granny’s big toe was just as accurate as most weather forecasters these days, especially within 24 hours. She worked for free, too.
