It depends on the size of the curiosity.

“Curious”, from the Latin “Curia” which was a division of Roman society who’s job it was to know about everything that was going on and to recommend solutions to social problems. The Curia exists to this day in the Roman Catholic church.
I guess I appreciate the unmasking of that bizarre term.
At the same time, I’ve always wondered why they aren’t called ‘The Obfusco Brothers’…?
