I hope Alabama makes it through this hurricane okay. I’m glad trump is working so hard, he hasn’t played a round of golf yet as president. You know, like that Kenyan Obama.
Trump sure does lie but many of his tally include gaffes and typical NYC BS slinging. For instance, referring to the Mexico wall as being 48 feet when it’s 39 (or whatever it actually is) isn’t what I’d call a lie. Or when he said a third of the migrant caravan women were sexually assaulted during their journey through Mexico was added to his lies because the accepted number from Doctors Without Borders is 30%. Biden makes LOTS of mistakes but I doubt he is intentionally “lying.” I think his gears grind a bit and his memory is fallible like everyone else’s, just maybe worse. In his head he probably believes that the Parkland shooting survivors did meet with him in his VP office even though it was 2018 and he was well out of office by then. I don’t think I want a president whose memory if THAT fallible and who has some holes in his integrity from many instances of plagiarism. I really, really, want somebody in the Oval Office that has unassailable integrity, all of their wits about them, and has a propensity to do the right thing rather than the politically expedient thing. Yeah, stop laughing…I know, I know. (sigh)
Trump’s lies are much worse and even dangerous, but I think it’s wrong to dismiss Biden’s as trivial.
While I don’t believe that the number of years one has been alive determines one’s competence (I believe that at 90, my great grandfather would have made a better President than either Trump or Dubya), the fact that Biden can make such “mistakes” without being aware of it is not what I would consider a positive trait in someone to lead the country, and I do wonder if he’s always been like that or if this is a new development.
I also wonder if this is an issue that many Democrats are trying to ignore, because he’s currently the leader in the polls.
Look at the sign behind the speaker. How many times am I going to have to say this—I do not ever care two cents for the opinion of the person who can’t tell the difference between a noun and an adjective. Really, no one should.
And, it other news, President Trump announced that the State of Alaska now in the Path of Hurricane Dorian. He showed a sharpie marked map to prove his point. He advised that all the inhabitants of Alaska evacuate, now.
I’ll quote Mike Peterson (over at the Daily Cartoonist blog, google it since I can’t post a link):
“Bob Gorrell accuses Democrats of a double standard when it comes to truth and accuracy. I can’t agree.
I’m not a Biden supporter, but his gaffes tend to be immaterial.
And let’s remember that it was the Amazon-owned Libtard Fake News Washington Post that examined his story of the soldier and the medal and exposed its numerous errors.
But Biden shrugged it off, admitted he’d screwed up the details and said it didn’t change the point off the story, which itself was somewhat inconsequential.
And when he was here in Keene and remarked that it was great to be in Vermont, everyone snickered and shook their heads because what the hell difference did it make?
He didn’t get out a Sharpie, draw on the map and insist that Keene is in Vermont, not New Hampshire, no matter what the fake geographers say.
If you don’t mind having a fumblemouth in the White House, vote for him. If it bothers you, don’t vote for him. (shrug)
But he doesn’t say crazy things that pull us out of carefully crafted international treaties, or lead to jackboot raids or kids in cages, or let us ignore murdered journalists and they don’t require, as Steve Benson puts it, that simple, obvious facts be altered for political purposes and that the fact-finders we rely on for safety and economic stability be dragooned into covering up the nonsensical things that fall out of Dear Leader’s mouth."

The difference, Mr. Gorrell, is that the Rump’s shameless blatant lies do damage to your country.

The Trump/Biden ratio is about 2,000 to 1 . And Biden makes mistakes, while Trump outright lies and then lies about lying.
