He needs to give a gift she would want and that isn’t either self-grooming (unless she specifies it) or practical.
The only woman I ever bought a kitchen tool for was my daughter in law. She loves to cook and bake, so I got her one of those mixers that does everything but trim your hair. It is her favorite toy.
