Don’t underestimate her! I’d be willing to bet she can easily do both!

If Mrs Olsen does buy into that AND if she wins big this Saturday, Caulfield will be guaranteed straight As for the rest of the quarter.

You know, it takes a lot of backbone to call Ms Oslen an inveterate anything…

They exist. I call Bingo in a small Legion every Thursday. Where I live, the senior center has a Friday Bingo and alternate Wednesdays. A lot of the same faces, dropping $20-30 per night.

The coming Full Moon is the Full Moon closest to the autumnal equinox and is commonly called the Harvest Moon.

As noted, not fully separating the characters’ balloons (panel 4) makes it seem as though one character is saying both.

I don’t think the average 8-year-old is as intelligent & witty as the kids portrayed in this comic.

Most of the time, growing up with teachers for parents was no better or worse than having a parent in any other profession. You don’t have any experience with anything else, so that’s the way it is.

But in retrospect, you can pick up pluses and minuses. That’s easy. Knowing which is which can be a little difficult, though. One especially good or bad thing is that you’re quickly disabused of the tempting notion of homework as sadism. Because you know firsthand that (a) they have to grade every piece of homework they assign, and (b) their lives after the bell rings are not, in fact, lives of idleness and boredom and all the time in the world to grade that homework.

Although knowing that’s the case does not in any way remove the temptation to scheme devious little plots to make it harder on them.
