Fluffy will say he did it because he loves you. You can say the same thing as you force-feed him the entire shoe, with the poop still in it.

When I was young we had a cat that hated my brother. The cat would go in the closet and pee in his shoes. My Dad called the cat P1ss in Boots.

But it’s warm and soothing poop!

Just makes you wonder what the shoe smelled like in the first place . . .
As a newish widower, I’m finding those reinforced looking socks are unenforced in truth.
It’s a typical cat, being such a loafer, but, it’s a real heal, for pooping in the shoe!
That’s a line Jim Davis might like having Garfield use if it was allowed.
