Bacon. Brie. Butter. Vegetable oil. My wife cannot cook without grease. Hot grease. We know dinner is about ready when the smoke alarm goes off.

Only if it starts a grease fire.

No! No! She did NOT say that!! (I should have!)

Sounds a lot like what I had in Navy mess halls.

Well, Grease was a pretty good movie. Tell me more! Tell me more! Tell me more!

Deep fried cheese. Frying fat in grease. Yum.

I know eating healthy is all the rage these days; fat free, gluten free, organic, low sodium, low carbs, et al. Most of which, IMHO, simply means flavor and texture free. So at my age if the fat, gluten, inorganics, salt, carbs, et al haven’t gotten me yet, I’m not going to start worrying about it now.

Grease is the word, it’s the word that you heard, it’s got groove it’s got meaning. Grease is the time, is the place, is the motion. Now Grease is the way we are feeling.

UGH!

We’ve certainly given grease more of a chance than peace. (In chaos there is profit)

My mother cooked almost everything in lard and/or bacon grease and the meals were excellent, not like the food today. It is hard to find a place to eat that fixes food that way. It sure ain’t happening in my home these days.

Yes, my favorite Greek restaurant raised their prices too.

I like Greece.
