Is this supposed to be the gorgeously-drawn Erwin L. Hess strip, which I had never heard of, but which looks wonderful on Google Images—amusing, warmly nostalgic at one or two removes, and, at least at first glance, totally slave-free (so to speak)? Has that really been running anywhere, even in reprints, in 40 or 50 years? Or is Keith excoriating some more recent strip under this confusing alias?
