But, aside from first-day jitters I’m sure you will have a great time in school this year, learning new stuff (well, much the same stuff you’ve learned in your eighty previous times in third grade), hanging out with Esther, etc.
I probably left the same comment last year but the Labor Day and back-to-school strips represent to me when Nancy gets reset in her time loop. Labor Day is a surreal break from the ordinary. That’s followed by Nancy resisting the start of a new school year because she subconsciously knows that something has gone terribly wrong with her timeline.
