Friday Foster was a great serial comic strip—and one of the first with a black female lead. Interestingly, I just bought a few weeks back several clipped stories.

There was a blaxsploitation film as well, with Pam Grier no less, though I didn’t find it particularly good or faithful.

I don’t like this rendering of DT. It looks like he’s “really” happy to see her again.

I may have to get earplugs, there is so much shouting in this MM!

And, to be bluntly honest, I do not like the way Tracy looks. His trademark square chin is too wedge-like, and as mentioned by several commenters above, he looks more like J. Straightedge Trustworthy than like true Tracy. And the over-sized fedora doesn’t help his image. (The ladies, Friday and Francesca, still look fine, except for the gaping/shouting mouths.)
