I will always remember exactly where I was when I heard the news.

I turned on the news about 2 minutes before the second plane hit the tower. They said they thought a small plane had flown into a tower, at that time the second plane hit and it will be in my memory forever.

The hijackers in the September 11 attacks were 19 men affiliated with al-Qaeda. 15 of the 19 were citizens of Saudi Arabia, two were from the United Arab Emirates, one was from Lebanon, and one was from Egypt.

Saudi Arabia is often a secondary source of funds and support for terror movements who can find more motivated and ideologically invested benefactors, Saudi Arabia arguably remains the most prolific sponsor of international Islamist terrorism, allegedly supporting groups as disparate as the Afghanistan Taliban, Al Qaeda, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and the Al-Nusra Front.

Our response: Attack Iraq. Brilliant.

Thank you Thom for the tribute! My thoughts and prayers go to those amazing first responders and their families and all the victims. I will never forget.

May all those who were lost continue to Rest in Peace…
