He got off easy. My brother did that to me when I was ~7yo, he was ~9. I literally saw red, got away from him, grabbed something long and heavy (for a 7yo) and chased him around the house with intent to – chastise him properly. Ran out of steam while banging on a door he got through and shut in my face.
No, I did not get into any trouble, even for the damaged to the door.
