And why does Pig have an inked face? Anyway, he didn’t write much, or just because he’s a pig.

Pig fell victim to another Rat Mashup – he meant to ask for some GARLIC CLOVES.

The fourth wall in this strip is not only broken, it’s been bulldozed, repaved, and had a parking lot placed over it.

An instant classic! It’s been far too long since Pastis did a meta joke about strip format like this. I love it. Reminds me of the classic one where the TV doesn’t work because the edges of the strip panel are missing, since they served as the “back” of the television.

Wasn’t the Glove trying to destroy Love in Yellow Submarine?

Nice change of pace to see Pastis doing a visual gag.

If you asked for socks, that would make for a great sole!

No gloves, no love.

Rat might have gotten Pig a sow of the evening.

So add the G and S to love and you get gloves ….. Croc Power !

Hmmmm… it’s pig. Instead of gloves, wouldn’t four socks do the job? Or maybe go fancy and give him golf club covers…

Why gloves? Ale would have fit, and Pig could have shared it with Rat. (snark)

I’d like a t-shirt showing Pig with the words “I AM PIG!” I wonder if Mr Pastis would mind if I made one…or hundreds and sold them for $24.99? I think he’d be honored.

It isn’t easy to buy love. Or, to wrap it.

He just wants to be like the old timer comic characters. You know the ones I assumed wiped themselves with bare hands then put on white gloves.

Pastis missed a great opportunity to spell something in bubble letters with the outlines of the panels.

Hurrah for Cartoon-Boy’s courageous protest against the shrinkage of comic strips! Pig is but the medium, wider strips is the message!
