You could be a bad putter because you aren’t very good at it. It is a bad carpenter who blames his tools.

Get the patio furniture. That way your son can enjoy it also. You still have him, don’t you?.

This is the reason why the economy in both the US and Canada is bad. Both of us can’t save money. We spend it mostly on needless things instead saving it for those “rainy days”.

Retired and moved to Oregon, lots of rainy days here. 68% of the economy is consumer spending and I’ve been helping it along.

It could be your eyesight. Buy new glasses. Betty already has hers.

If ya can’t “putt”, eat a bunch of beans. THEN you’ll be “putt-ing” plenty.

In 1999, I wanted to spend $3000 on an 18 "Schmidt-Casigrain reflector telescope with GPS and automatic star/planet finder. My wife pointed out that we (the family) could only enjoy this telescope by sitting in a remote and dark farm field at 1AM in the dead of winter for several hours. After that it didn’t sound all that fun. :-D

Oh, it’s the “putter” all right, just not the one that’s a golf club.

So is the car going to break down or will it be a major appliance?

Real life: The reason he can’t putt could be he isn’t any good at it. There is always the “savings” account for a rainy day, boggles the mind why people feel the need to spend “extra” money immediately.
