The people at that level (Congress, lobbyists, Corporate management) all know climate change is real. They just put corporate profits (and the bribes, er campaign donations they get) ahead of everyone’s health and safety.
Weather is local, climate is global. But predictions have shown the growth of floods and droughts and forest fires galore. Just more things to add to our growing tabulation of effects as predicted. Though happening faster and harder than predicted.
