Do the western radical extremist authoritarians envy/admire the Saudi “rights” in their apparent mission of overturning constitutional democratic republics/kingdoms and eliminating the rights of women, minorities, immigrants, and ending religious tolerance?
The Saudis attack us on 9/11, and we go to war against…Iraq. And Afghanistan. And now we’re rattling our saber against Iran. All while selling weapons to the Saudis.
Overall the excuse we had for supporting fascist regimes, which I read in Catholic history texts in grade school, was anti-Communism. At least then we had the Warren Court’s upholding our rights. Since Nixon’s Gang of Four we’ve seen diminishing rights for us and the world without the excuse of the Domino Theory.
