Memories of walks with my Grandmother, you never knew where you were headed, just where you had been. At 70, she could be found 30-40 miles from home and turn down a ride.

Nelson, would you rather remember this or that your grandpa did nothing and that you were bored all the time?

Try it with a proper shade hat, bug repellent, good walking shoes, a water bottle, and maybe you’ll gain an appreciation for your grandfather’s desire to have you along.

Sounds like our trip. Farewell Bend: bugs, bugs, bugs, over 100F. The campsites were separated by Bug Bushes. Every bush had hundreds of them, but you get 40 ft away and nothing but mosquitoes.

The only vividly remembered family (9 kids and my parents) trip we took, was spent in a leaky tent and a station wagon. It rained the entire weekend. My parents are gone now and all of the kids are grown and. I wouldn’t trade those memories for anything.

A heartwarming strip. Even when you think “I’m not going to enjoy this.”, you’ll be able to look back and smile because you spent time with the people you loved. And that always makes the best memories.

I don’t believe I ever went hiking with my grandfather, but I do remember several fishing trips. Granddad was an avid bass fisherman, and he liked taking me along (although I was no great fisher, myself). Unlike most of his grandsons, I could keep quiet for periods of time – because I was bright enough to take a book along. Granddad was simultaneously annoyed and amused.

Just like a Marriage. My Wife and I have been Married 29 years and We had to take the Bad with the Good, but in the end “The Good” memories always overcome any “Bad” ones. Just like Life, Marriage isn’t gonna be perfect, you just have to learn how to overcome any “Bumps” along the way. Try to think of what your LOVE means to each other and what a loss it could be to go to bed with an Empty place on your bed. Never go to bed without saying " I Love You ! and “Good Night” or leave the Home without saying “I Love You !” We are only in this world for a short time. You-all Be Safe and Have a Great Day ! P.S. Besides our marriage is how I Earned some of these grey and missing hairs.

Off! works fine on mosquitoes as long as you don’t mind the humming. Hot and tired w/ hurting feet are somewhat okay too, especially when you get to the lake and can sit and watch it steam around your feet.
