Both Nike and Under Armour are overpriced for what you get. Both tend to sit on the shelves at the local Exchange when compared to brands like New Balance, Reebok, Skechers, Fila, Adidas, Columbia, and others. It’s stupid to become a Brand Slave for the sake of a name. I am perfectly happy with my Turntec shoes that cost a fraction of the main brands and have lasted several years. I am not paying to advertise someone’s merchandise for them.

    What a sad day.

Ramirez, using Uncle Sam, as a corporate spokesman.

Yeah, I understand, Nike hurt your feelings. Bruised your pride.

This is your response? Turn Uncle Sam into a shill?

For shame. This shows you don’t understand the problem at all.

American symbols are being adopted and perverted into meanings that are anathema to their original purpose.

Instead of attacking Nike, why don’t you attack the use of the Betsy Ross flag by Neo-Nazis?

Ramirez, you should be supporting Kaepernick’s defense of the Betsy Ross flag. The 13 star flag MEANS something important to our history and culture. It was not meant to be used as a secret symbol for hate and ignorance.

For shame. A sad day indeed. A man who makes his living using the symbols of America, failing to defend those symbols.

NIKE and the majority of the American populace understand any product promoting even a hint of racism is unacceptable. Conservatives upset that NIKE refuses to add to the racist narrative for racist conservatives isn’t surprising. And neither is Ramirez’s attempt to defend that racist narrative.

Nine Line Apparel, a veteran-owned apparel company….which intended or not, is following in the footsteps of obama’s 2012 re-election roll-out.

The Republicans pretend they respect the flag. But it is okay to put it on a shoe because a Black guy doesn’t like it.

Renditions of the U.S. flags appear on many items and is done as a sign of respect. Clearly your chuckle missed reality and the point. Nice job.

    Let the free market decide.

The voting public will decide about the Russian loving Republicans and their concentration camps for children in 2020.

Once again: Didn’t most of you swear off Nike when Kaepernick was signed? Were you lying then or lying now?

Um. What? Google U explains that Under Armor also sell shoes. OK. I’m entirely in favor of a competition on the merits (or otherwise). If the Ridiculously Selfrighteous Rightwingers want to buy non-Nike shoes, more power to them.
