MAGNACARTIC – (mag nuh’ kar tik): adj. The curious magnetic effect occurring within the confines of a shopping centre where seemingly without human involvement, a shopping cart will collide with a parked, unattended motor vehicle resulting in visible damage to the vehicle.
I have a 1992 Doge Dakota. I use it mostly on the weekends to pick up stuff at the hardware store. I need to put a gun rack on it and get a John Deere baseball cap to wear backwards so I can blend in with the local population. I do take it to the market on these trips. I tell my wife to be careful with the cart so as not to scratch the paint job.
If everybody returned their carts as they should, hundreds of thousands of cart boys would be out of work. Therefore…support the work force…. NEVER return a cart again. :)
