From the looks of it, they were using paper straws, the kind which were used in most schools back in the 50s & 60s …

AUUUGH! Dog germs! She used a straw used by a dog!

You would have thought that Lucy would have sensed SOME sort of difference in the taste of her drink!

Ignorance is bliss.

Are dog germs less deadly than human germs? Do dogs carry bubonic plague?

Dogs can’t suck.. so Snoopy was not able to “sip”.. Lick, yes but dog germs are no more likely to cause damage than the germs on your hands that touched the straw.

It’s not too often we ever saw these two sitting and chatting over a glass of lemonade like good friends. I remember this one the first time around and laughed just as hard now as I did way back then.

This is hilarious!
