Cats have notoriously little spending money. Or reading skills.

True. Cats and dogs generally have humans do their shopping for them.

In 25 years of trucking, one of the nastiest loads I ever hauled was chicken parts to a cat food plant…it was years ago and I can still remember the smell

Cat owners? No. Dogs have owners, Cats have staff.

I really don’t believe cats think food comes in a can. Else they would bring you one as a “present.”

Cats are discerning, dogs not so much. If a dog won’t eat it, you know it’s incredibly bad.

Fish says “bubble-up, bubble-up”, cat says “Open that can. Meow, meow, open that can.” Cat says “Open that can.”

Everybody goes after the ones with disposable income rather than the ones with no say. (Further proof that money is speech.)

It’s almost enough to make a cat seek employment… not quite, but ALMOST.

To market to cats all they would have to say is “Smells raunchy! Tastes great!” or “Claws open. No can opener or human required.” Even just “Canned mice” would probably do.

There was a time that cat food in a can was a staple in the diet of the destitute and homeless…….
