Yep, Trump never did actually stop campaigning. But now it is “official.”

In his 2020 official campaign kickoff in Orlando, Florida, before a rabid crowd of wild-eyed supporters chanting “lock her up” in some kind of bizarre call and response, Trump mentioned Biden once, no other 2020 Democratic candidate but mentioned Hillary’s name numerous times.

If Trump wants to run against Hillary in 2020, one thing is sure, it will not be Hillary who gets inaugurated on January 20, 2021, but it will also not be Trump.

The local newspaper, the Orlando Sentinel, a center right publication that usually endorses Republican candidates, greeted Trump on the day of his “official” campaign launch with a front page editorial endorsing NOT TRUMP for 2020, with a scathing litany of his flaws, failing and felonies to justify their position.

Just listening to the people on the news standing in line waiting to get into the presidents rally I chuckle at their reasoning as to what he has done is so great and how they can support him so strongly. They never mention all his campaign promises that have yet to materialize, the lies and name calling childish behaviors, and hugely over-inflated ego that he is the greatest thing since sliced bread. His threats pretty much prey upon the fears that America will be overrun by immigrants, foreign powers, and especially the free pass who is the so-called enemy of the people. Promise and tell people anything to get elected, but this goofball takes it to the very limits of slimy politics! I suspect 2020 elections will produce some very interesting results and after-effects!

We can only hope that the Dems turn up the investigative heat in the House and Trump pulls an LJB in ’68 withdrawal from politics.

That’s all he can do. I’m a victim. A victim. Everyone who doesn’t love me is an enemy. Treason. Democrats want to destroy the country. Yada, yada, yada.

He’s been holding rallies all along. That’s not… exactly… campaigning, but it sure isn’t exactly not. But no matter, he flies Air Force One, at our expense so it’s free, and he loves the smell of the crowd.

Continuous campaigning was a feature of the Bush admin as they tried to blame Democrats for everything bad, including both Bush recessions, the invasion of Iraq, and even the 9/11 attacks.

The lies were effective and so they have kept it as a core principle of the Republican party ever since.

Trump has combined it with the massive corruption and the treason and Republicans enable all of it.
