Trump is notorious for creating his own problems and then making suggestions to undo what he just did and take credit for solving problems of his own creation.
More often, he takes something that was working fine, breaks it, and then completely loses control of a situation that then mushrooms into something far greater than his very limited ability to undo.
Such is the case with Iran. Iran was a problem for the United States. Working in conjunction with other nations, the Obama administration successfully crafted a nuclear containment deal in which SEVEN nations came together — the United States, Iran, Great Britain, France, Germany, Russia and China. This was an extraordinary achievement with enormous powers of inspection, compliance, enforcement and verification.
IT WAS WORKING. Iran was in full compliance. The heads of Trump’s own intelligence and law enforcement agencies — that he appointed! — all confirmed that Iran was in full compliance and that THE TREATY WAS WORKING.
So what does Trump do? He causes the U.S. to be the nation that breaks the deal, unravels the security and now puts us at the brink of war.
Trump says he does not want war. But chicken hawk John Bolton, his national security advisor, has been champing at the bit for war with Iran since the Dubya Bush era. They deny they want war, but these chicken hawks know that there is just too much money to be made by offering up our brave young heroes as human sacrifices on the blood-stained altar of corporate profits for “defense contractors” and oil companies.
In light of this failed presidency, there is still no proactive movement by our divided dysfunctional Congress to prevent future incompetent presidencies from ignoring the will of all the people and putting self-interests first.
Just who is our seemingly neoliberal (supply-side) Congresses representing? It is definitely not we the people as corporations — now considered people — are at the head of the line blocking our way.
I wonder how many of Glorious Leader’s Illustrious offspring will join the military for G/L much desired war with Iran? They could all have special uniforms made by Ivanka’s company.
What scares the $hit outta me, is Bolton and Miller know that “war” presidents always use the “we can’t change horses in mid stream” argument for re=election. The Dotard will think this is a great plan when they push it to him. I am starting to worry about my 10 yr old great-grandson!
Trump claims he doesn’t like war since it cuts into his profits. Which may be true. He knows how to manipulate the various news sources who are corporate run.
DD Wiz, I couldn’t possibly agree with you more than I do. Lincoln is reputed to have said that “There are two types of people who want war: those who know they won’t have to go and those who’ve never been in one.”

Apparently he can’t find a scriptwriter who will write his plays so he has to do his own personal drama scripts.

Our right wingers overthrew the president of Iran and installed the ‘Shaw’.
During the Iranian revolution some Americans were kidnapped.
Even tho Reagan made a secret deal behind the back of the president of the USA
republicans vowed to hate Iran forever.
