Given the overwhelming level of superfluous mediocrity in the world of music championed by the mainstream since the 1990s, Bucky is pretty much right on target with his observations in the last panel. There’s great stuff out there. But in general, the mainstream isn’t where you’ll find it.
“Come Shed With Me”. Then “Whipped Monkey & Other Delights”, “The Sandbox Needs A-Changin’”, “Their Felinic Majesty’s Request”, followed by “Horky Chateau” and “Born In The ASPCA” .
Bucky has a sound (no pun intended, much) idea here. Elderly folks, with mortgages long paid off and the kids long flown, have a decent amount of disposable income. Going for the music that they prefer is a solid ploy.
