Very timely strip here. Hikers are being cautioned to stay off Burnaby Mountain (in mid-suburban Vancouver BC) while conservation officers attempt to catch an unfriendly bear. (Bad Yogi!)
We’ve had evidence of bears in our yard in the past week or so, but haven’t actually seen the critter. Had one walk right through the yard in broad daylight back when I was a kid. My brothers and I were playing in the yard, and just stopped to watch it.

The bears around here aren’t a big problem, but the mountain lions and coyotes have been known to dine on pets.
