As it happens, the hometown softball team is a perennial power, having won six straight league championships, fifteen of the last twenty-one, and just won its fourth straight regional championship en route to defending its state title. The team’s exploits regularly make the front page of the local daily paper. In some places, people DO notice the girls’ teams.
I saw a one-hour documentary on Pirate TV showcasing the hippo-themed tattoos the girls got, and it did mention in passing, like, you know, something about winning. Some of the places they put those tattoos!
And all of us are stunned that their win was noticed. Nice to see the kids in the school are still way behind the times. I doubt anyone would be using “You go girl(s)” since the 90’s.
You have to check the colorized version, but somehow the girl on the right in P1 (too lazy to search her name) changed her outfit since she spoke her last sentence in Saturday’s strip. And nice preschool backpack, other girl.
And speaking of nice, it would be nice if you read today’s edition of Mopped Up Thorp. https://moppedupthorp.wordpress.com/

Is that kid wearing novelty glasses with eyes painted on them? Also isn’t he that other girl’s boyfriend?

History 101? Milford may be one of the few schools that teach History anymore.

Smash Wellington like Chef Gordon Ramsay would if someone brought it up to him undercooked.

P3- Neal really meant to say……I looked up Wellington online. You’ll knock the stew out of them.

At least the guy in P#3 is wearing his TC button even though he is a senior still taking Freshman History.

So he tapped a few keys to look up Wellington?
Has it changed in meaning? In the days of old (my era) a ‘101’ numbered course would have been a college level and not a high school level class.

P-2: Nice to see the HS students have “how to use” instructions on the water fountain.
