Although contemporary objects can indeed feature on the Antiques Roadshow, technically anything under 100 years old is usually classes as ‘vintage’ rather than antique. Of course I don’t know how old the planet is the show is based, so perhaps 40 human years is the equivalent of 400 alien years.
Artfully place thumb, there. And the dude is sadly under-equipped, IIRC.
I was always worried about using analog etching to record sounds .. a digital representation would have been far more decodable that requiring any putative aliens to retro-craft a whole audio technology before trying to understand the content.

“It still has the original plaque!”
A little dental rinse can remove that plaque. Oh, wait — wrong kind of plaque! d;o)

Of course, nobody uses these as space probes any more, but it can be repurposed as a lamp.

I’ll wager 10 quatloos that it’s worth less than 10 quatloos.

“It would be so much more valuable if it was still in the original box, though.”
