In the game of golf, you have to replace any divots that you make. What do you do with a tree you knocked/sliced over?

Never played golf in my life but I think it’s a hook too. Never made sense to me to pay good money to hit a ball and then have to go get it. Seems like a lot of people think it’s a good idea so what do I know.
