Usually, they use a parodic version of a real piece of media, or just use the media itself (like the storyline with The Last Unicorn). Is this a real movie, or a parody of a real movie?
Vlad needs minions, to constantly reassure him. But what does a vampiricorn do, anyway? Drinking blood seems a bit out there for unicorns. Maybe he devours nervousness sparkles.
Vampire unicorns are immune to mirrors as they cannot be distracted by their own reflections. They are therefore able to mesmerize other unicorns by using mirrors, and then getting up to all sorts of mischief while the unicorn is helpless. The horror.
It used to be that mirrors were backed with silver, a metal considered to be holy and that’s where vampires not having a reflection comes from. Modern mirrors are aluminum backed.
But wait- wouldn’t Vlad (the Impaler, by the way- very appropriate for a bad-ass unicorn) have seen the stuck something just floating there in the mirror image?
