In other words, Republicans were more likely to agree with statements such as “I don’t mind if someone I dislike gets hurt”, “I taunt people just to stir things up,” “I can get over things that would traumatize others,” and “I never worry about making a fool of myself with others.”
The Democrats are waiting until the evidence becomes so overwhelming that the Republicans get on board. That will happen when they believe that they are more likely to get reelected by disavowing the creep in the White House than they are by supporting him. If that doesn’t happen, those in districts that aren’t solidly red are quite likely to lose in 2020. The alternative is for the House to impeach him now, send the impeachment proceedings to the Senate, which is Republican, and will not impeach. Then, Trump can declare victory and his supporters are stupid enough to believe it. Nancy didn’t get where she is by being stupid enough to fall for option B.
