Today’s judicial ruling in the Federal District Court of Washington, D.C. ruled, based on Office of Legal Counsel (in the Dept of Justice) as well as precedents from congressional investigations in the Watergate (Nixon) and Whitewater (Clinton) cases — both of which began prior to the opening of formal impeachment hearings — that the Trump administration cannot block legitimate subpoenas for financial documents.

Further, the judge ruled that the administration claims were so frivolous and such an obvious violation of well-established history and precedent that he even refused to allow a stay of the judgment to allow time for an appeal.

Attempts by Barr and Trump to issue blanket orders to ignore subpoenas, by both employees of the Executive Branch and those no longer so employed are, themselves, acts of obstruction of justice.

One terrible precedent was already set by not prosecuting Mnuchin in California.

I keeled over laughing at the words: “abnorms to protect”. I will be quoting these in future conversations.

Everyone shows their tax returns except Trump, who has set a terrible precedent by not showing his tax forms which are full of dirt on him.

Mnuchin should go to jail for failing to comply with the House Subpoena.

I don’t know about a terrible and dangerous PRECEDENT, but we certainly have a terrible and dangerous PRESIDENT.

Toles’s depiction of Mnuchin is almost as good as the McConnell character.

That Trump found so many profoundly corrupt people to surround himself with so quickly is a matter of wonder to me.

The most dangerous precedent we now face is for Trump and his gang getting away with ignoring congressional subpoenas. It is happening right now, before our eyes, and half of America doesn’t seem to be aware of this looming threat to our rights and our liberty.
