From what I saw on an episode of “Death Row Stories” on HLN recently, executioners don’t have it easy. Some of them are dealing with psychological issues.
Albert Pierrepoint was an English hangman who executed between 435 and 600 people and lived to about the age of 87 or so. He ran a pub from the 1940’s to the 1960’s.
