Trying to figure out exactly what John Bolton is so eager to go to war with Iran (something he has been agitating for since his days in the George W. Bush administration).
Does he have a financial interest in one of the oil companies who covet Iranian oil (as they did Iraqi oil), or a financial interest in one of the “defense contractors” of the military-industrial complex who are so eager to sacrifice our brave young heroes on the blood-stained altar of their corporate profits?
Or is he just really, really cranky?
Whatever it is, the man is a danger to the United States and a danger to the world.
Dress him up in 70# of gear, turn him loose in the Iranian desert somewhere, give him a defective rifle and turn him loose to do his own dirty deeds! Friggin’ war monger!
Bolton wrote in his Yale 25th reunion book: “I confess I had no desire to die in a Southeast Asian rice paddy. I considered the war in Vietnam already lost.” But I’ll gladly start a war in which your loved ones can die, no problemo with that {that last part was sarcasm}.
I wonder what the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Pentagon are thinking? I expect the Selective Service (affectionately remembered as “the draft board”) will have to be revived. I wonder if the next big scandal will be wealthy parents bribing the draft board to keep their kids out of the military?
Bolton is a Coward of the Highest order. He had his chance to go fight in a war he supported, Vietnam but he was “Too Busy” (His words) to go fight.
By the way, when Prince MBS says that the Saudis may go to war with Iran, they aren’t talking about themselves, they don’t have an army worth a damn. They are talking about the AMERICAN army.
I’m sure the plan is to blame the Iranians for some explosion in the oil field, attack them with the few F15s that they have and when the counter attack comes they will demand we honor our mutual defense agreements.
Sounds like the American War Machine is getting hungry for more human sacrifices. Start rounding up the young men, women and children. Bring them to the Altar of Pointless Death.

It is always amazing that people with absolutely NO military experience think that the Armed Forces are great for other people’s children.

We are only in the Middle East because Republicans want to steal their oil.

It’s an insult to see Bolton dressed as Uncle Sam, but point taken.

How many people remember that “Operation Iraqi Freedom” was ORIGINALLY called “Operation Iraqi Liberation”, until someone noticed the Acronym?

I heard many men lying
I saw many more dying
But I ain’t marchin’ anymore
It’s always the old to lead us to the war
It’s always the young to fall
Now look at all we’ve won with the saber and the gun
Tell me is it worth it all?
