When showing a couple old photos on the same page in one of my albums: “This is the barn Dad was raised in – I mean, this is the house he was raised in.” He replied that he did spend a good bit of his boyhood in the barn, including being leashed to the wall as a toddler while Grandpa and Grandma were milking (enough but not too dangerously much freedom of motion).
