The palestinian/american representative, Rashida Tlaib was making a comment about how her ancestors were hurt by our need to be forgiven by the Jews who suffered under the Holocaust. She was not denying the Holocaust, but citing other ramifications of our response to finally accepting the true nature of Hitler’s final solution.
During WWII, our intelligence agencies had information that suggested Hitler’s Nazi party was systematically seeking to annihilate the Jewish people as well as all those that opposed the Hitler regime. Prior to Hitler’s final solution (the Holocaust), Germany was systematically making life very difficult for the Jewish citizenry. Laws were passed preventing Jews from owning property and through the banks, Jewish owned industry was pushed to the wall, forcing them to close down and sell out at bargain prices.
But, our intelligence agencies thought the proof that they had of the Holocaust was just Russia’s way of forcing the US to commit to another military front in eastern Europe. So the information was quietly buried.
