Margaret Atwood has a lot to answer for … because of her worship of Mammon she has given the GOP misogynists a playbook on how to get their womenfolk back in the kitchen …barefoot and pregnant. ….it’s not the future….. It is the now that exists in the patriarchal misogynist attitudes of insecure males. This is how the pendulum swings… Two steps forward three steps backwards… So when do they start barring girls from getting an education??? Oh I know… They’re already doing that by denying young girls birth control and control education sex education… Those misogynist patriarchal bigoted insecure men who don’t practice Chastity but expect everyone else to do so in order to escape being chained to an unwanted pregnancy… They only want abortions available to their mistresses but not for their victims who get caught in the web of misogyny.
It is NOT a “dystopian” future, people – it is the meticulously planned Conservative future as ‘charted out’ by elements of the Republican party right after the enactment of the various “civil rights” acts (which DID include the “infamous” Roe vs Wade).
The first step was the gradual ‘whittling’ down of the statute while at the same time slowly taking over the American judiciary. Both have been accomplished, for the most part. Once they manage to destroy a woman’s right to abortion, the next step is to outlaw ‘contraception’ of any kind, while at the same time granting “personhood” to fertilized ova.
The more radical elements are still advocating (albeit quietly) for the outlawing of “Onanism” (which is also condemned in their holy writ), but they haven’t figured out how to accurately ‘detect’ that act, yet (but they will, trust me, they will).
The entire premise behind the Conservative movement is the idea of “control” – control of how you act, control of how you think, control of how live your life and how you interact with others. The ‘tree’ of “The Protectorate” has truly blossomed in the modern-day Conservative movement (I trust the British will forgive me for usurping a bit of their history, but the American Conservative movement is truly ‘in love’ with Cromwell and the ‘Round-Heads’ – though I WILL admit, I’ve not heard (yet) of conservatives wanting to ban “pies” – and, yes, Cromwell did ban ‘pies’ in England – they were considered frivolous!)
Only shoving the most backward and distorted elements of their “religion” isn’t quite establishing one, just shoving their twisted version down the Peoples’ throats.

These states will continue to do this until one gets to the US Supreme Court where they feel very sure that Roe vs. Wade will be overturned.
