    Does the necktie have to striped or of paisley design? I think one with cartoon characters (like, say, Bugs Bunny and Marvin Martian) doesn’t count.

    I remember when people cared about how they looked when they traveled, especially when they flew. Now everyone dresses like they’re going to Walmart to shop for clown clothes.

    Have you seen how people dress when they fly? Even business travelers are traveling business casual. Everyone else shows up in sweats or worse, pajama pants. :-\

    Back in the days (long ago, kiddies) when air travel was pleasant and civilized, yes, people did dress. Nowadays the term “cattle car airways” describes both sides of the equation: the airlines and also the airlined.
