In case anyone hasn’t seen it yet, Senator Mazie Hirono showed Barr that at least some senators weren’t keen on putting up with his crap. Who knew a senator could be such a bad***?
• Refusing to provide relevant documentary evidence
• Providing illegal advice to Treasury Dept and IRS authorizing criminal disregard of specific law requiring compliance with request to produce tax returns
Nixon’s first attorney general, John Mitchell, went to prison for obstruction of justice in Watergate (he was convicted after Nixon was out of office and not available to pardon him).
William Barr is old enough to remember and understand that history.
After January 20, 2021, if a new Democratic president is inaugurated, a new attorney general will be appointed and Barr, Mnuchin (Treasury Secretary, Rettig (IRS commissioner) and, yes, taking the cue from Robert Mueller, Donald Trump himself will be available for arrest, prosecution and conviction for multiple crimes. And a new attorney general, in addition to obstruction, may very well dig deeper and find that the extensive collusion (not a legal term) DOES rise to the level of criminal conspiracy (a legal term).
I wonder if John Mitchell’s old cell is still available.
Maybe Donald, Don Jr, Jared and Ivanka can all share that cell — the family plan.
Need to throw a few of those law breakers in jail to nip this in the bud… Susan McDougal served 18 months in prison for contempt of court for refusing to answer questions relating to Whitewater. And.. one could argue this current abuse is a tad more serious than the Whitewater case.. on the other hand.. those were Democrats
Actually, Barr is more of a “dictatorist” if there is such a thing. Why Barr thinks Trump will be loyal to him when Trump is loyal to precisely ZERO carbon-based lifeforms is beyond me.

A fine example of why tribal loyalty does not allow a good government to function.

It’s hard to believe that someone could be SO contemptible and downright criminal that Congress comes across as the “good guys” in their conflict!

“Well,” says Barr, “that’s just another sheet of toilet paper.”.

Why don’t people just call Barr what he is: a monarchist?

The people who want to turn our democracy into their plutocracy are the enemy.

Hired to show contempt? Well, they picked the right man for the job! He’s certainly contemptible enough.
