The New York Times, Washington Post and other media have now identified in detail (date, time, place and content) of more than 10,000 lies told by Donald Trump since his inauguration.
Almost all politicians lie occasionally. Some bend the truth a bit, some stretch it quite a bit, and some let out some real whoppers. But the scale on which Donald Trump lies with a pathological fervor, multiple times per hour, is unprecedented. Not even Richard Nixon comes close.
And this Rob Rogers cartoon is exactly right: TELLING LIES is Trump’s raison d’être; the core of his pitiful existence.
His entire life is based on lies.
His mythical business success (long debunked by his many failures despite inheriting fortunes), now confirmed by documentation of his record financial losses, including during the times he claimed to be most successful.
Everything he claims to be good at — the best words, knows more than the generals, great businessman — all a house of cards, a palace of FIBrication, ready to tumble in the glare of sunlight.
What I don’t get is that all his followers have to know that he’s been lying to them this entire time as well, and yet they continue to believe him. WTF?
