How many socks do you need in summer? Isn’t that the prime time to go without? IF you wear them and they get dirty, wash them in the lake and dry them in the sun and/or wind.
However many articles of clothing a kid packs, the number they bring back is never the same; in some cases they come back with more clothes belonging to someone else.
I never understood the packing way in advance thing. The day before leaving I stop at the store, get a new pack of socks and underwear (that way they are in nice compact packages). The night before, I pack those, enough pants and shirts for the length of the trip and my travel kit. The next morning my electric razor, hair brush, toothbrush, and toothpaste get packed. And I’m done.

In truth, it was an adventure for her 3 CABIN MATES getting through a week on account of her having only 3 socks. Windows open, please!

How much could there be to pack? When Marigold wears anything, it’s usually leg warmers and a scarf in cold weather.

GEEZ! I spent more time preparing for day camp! Away camp was much longer prep time….sewing labels, checking the list of what to bring, buying stuff.
