I remember an utterly sleepless night I had once in a motel room. There was a cricket in the room that was making really loud noises and I would bolt out of bed and turn on the lights and spend 5 minutes trying to find it and couldn’t. I would turn out the lights and lie in bed for about a minute and the noise would start up again! I was exhausted by morning.
