A recent in-depth NPR report warns that most generic drugs are not manufactured in the US (as we might expect) but in China, India, and other foreign countries where standards of cleanliness are not followed and where the schedule of US inspectors is known far enough in advance (as in no surprise inspections) to give the manufacturer time to get things “looking good”. Sure made me question whether generic (especially one needed daily for maintenance of a health issue) is the best choice for me.
I hear him about that. My insurance has that donut hole you fall into when you spend a certain amount on your meds. I just got more drugs I have to take so I may fall into the hole sooner than we need to. Hate it!
