    If I were a science geek going to science camp, I’d wonder what purpose will the insect repellent serve if I’m going to be indoors.

    Jason is so excited about a fast T1 phone line (I would have been too), he hasn’t heard about the convenience of wi-fi yet.

    There’s science and there’s science. I don’t think the science this camp is about is Jason’s brand of science. I hope he’s in for a rude awakening.

    Lets see t1 1.544 mbs with 8kb sync/framing. Then about 94% thruput (tcp ip overhead)Going with theres going to be more than 1 pc per cabin and all of those geeks with try to use their max bandwidth might not be as impressive as they thought.

    WOW! T1 = Mbps (megabits per second). Not a big deal now – I get at least 30 Mbps at home and could get 100 Mbps – but back then that was equivalent of six 256K modems.
