Duffy’s put on gloves. He obviously doesn’t want to touch or be hurt by the things he’s picking up.

I think the Topsiders have placed mental blocks in people’s minds. Like not being able to count to five or see Topsiders or what’s in Ravencroft’s box.Unless we find out the Topsiders are also victims with their own mental blocks.

So, Ravenscroft isn’t just taking off a pair of glasses…but taking off part of his face!? The “glasses” appear to have skin between the eyes. It’s held on with cord?

I would suspect the glasses are a device that interacts directly with the optic nerve. It would be like a Ponto device for hearing that uses bone conduction for hearing. It would also be like special filtering glasses used in forensics that respond to single color or ultraviolet rays only. Just because they’re unreflective to the visible frequencies doesn’t mean they’re not reflective to other frequencies in the electromagnetic spectrum.

“Ravenscroft”. The name sounded familiar and I googled it, but all I found was a school in North Carolina. Is the name in a book?

“The darkness burns” may simply be a reference to the pain of having to go without a primary sense even if it’s only temporary.

The Emerald City did look better when the inhabitants wore their green glasses…

Am I correct in assuming that Wally fled from Ravenscroft’s apartment in anger because he was unable to figure out what was in the bird’s briefcase? If so, where do you think he could go next to find out what’s really going on in Eden?
