If I find myself stuck at a starbucks, I only ask for a small coffee. I don’t care to remember what their weird sizes are, and I don’t need to order different coffees for the next six months, to see if there’s one I like. I like hot black coffee, small because a large becomes a tepid black coffee before I can finish it.
And when they ask if I want “room” I say yes. Everybody BACK OFF.

Keep a jar of instant coffee at home. You’ll save money and time. And in this case, your self-respect.
