The gargoyles that were there to protect the church from evil were removed a week before the fire for renovation work to proceed. First time in history they were removed.
All of these toons got me thinking of that cheesy 1970’s horror movie “Gargoyle.”

I stand corrected, it was the sculptures of the Twelve Apostles and four New Testament evangelists that were removed.
I would have removed my earlier comment, but as it had been commented on, I did not them to think I had just run away from my mistake.
I think it is god punishing the catholic church for hiding decades of priest pedophilia. I’m using evangelical logic.
Obviously a false flag operation. Alex Jones set it on fire so he could blame the Muslims.
